Mount Pissis is the second/third highest peak in South America and the world´s first/second highest volcano.It has five distinct summits of which three are of almost the same elevation. The west summit is considered to be the highest.

Mount Pissis was climbed for the first time in 1937 by Osiecki and Szczepanski, two Polish mountaineers who climbed a lot of peaks in the area that year.
